Very good as for cheap Unity game
It is disappointing how few flight simulators are out there now for Mac platform. Considering that fact plus the low price on this one makes F18 Carrier Landing a really nice choice - it reminds of old-school simulators from Microprose (like F19, which I LOVE), even though it’s far simpler - but still not that simple to become a mindless arcade. The missions are challenging enough and varied enough. The graphics aren’t very good but good enough for the price. Of course there could be more missions, but again - it’s so cheap I can’t really complain. Considering that last missions take 10-15 minutes for a try (and you can fail multiple times) it will take you an hour or two to beat the game completely, and that’s sufficient playing time I suppose. Still I wouldn’t mind a couple of DLCs though. Also there’s something appealing in the fact that very same game to the last details is available on iPhone and iPad, even thoug I’m not sure if accounts are synced between platforms (looks like no - that’s not good actually). I was playing it at my laptop all the time, but once had to use public transport for longer time, and le voila - could get a “like home” feeling by playing on my iPhone the very same game I play at home. I’m looking forward to see Rortos porting their other games to Mac, Air Navy Fighters in particular - because I actually want to be able to shoot stuff in this simulator (-: But again, I’m quite satisfied with the experience. And last but not least - it’s actually nice to once in a while play a game where you don’t need to destroy things and wreack havoc. Just saying (-:
